Won't Give Up

Well, I'm really disappointed with myself. I tried to swatch the daisy pattern for lacey cardi three times but just can't seems to get the stitches right. I have no idea what went wrong. I was so looking forward to finish this project for christmas especially after everyone took the time to send in their votes. Anyways, I have decided to put it aside and deal with it later on. I'm just a bit frustrated, that's all I can say.

On the lighter note, lace leaves scarf is almost done. I'm really getting bored with the pattern, luckily there's only about half a ball of yarn to go. I should be able to block it by thanks giving. In other productivity news... remember I was going to swatch and cast on the Lothruin shrug. Well, that didn't turn out so well neither. My gauge was a bit off. So I decided to try something new and design my own pattern. I'm working on a top down wide collar cardi with Tahki Davos Print. The yarn was purchased while back and I can't even recall the name of the color now. I think, I shall call it Mocca. I love this yarn, it is so comfy and light when knit up. Just hope I won't screw this up again.

Oh ! By the way, for those who wonder how on earth I manage to find Michaels in KL. Well, the truth is, I've just relocated back to the bay area. I was going to annouance about my move once I get settled. Anyways, It's nice to be back after being away for almost two years. I'll blog more about my new adventure, all the LYS that I've been dying to visit and things I that I'd missed. Till Then, Happy knitting and have a nice thanks giving!

The colourway of your shrug is pretty, I'm sure it'll be a gorgeous finished object.

That looks beautiful, I love that collar. This will be even better since it's your own pattern that will fit you perfectly.

Don't give up on the vogue cardi yet, it's going to be a perfect outfit for christmas!
The wide collar cardi is really nice too, I love the collar! How did you do it? I'm never really smart with the top-down thing.

The davos print yarn is so yummy looking. I've got a feeling that your lothruin cardi is going to turn out great - like Yuvee says, that collar is really nice. And there's something about knitting scarves - they go on forever, so I tend to knit mine short :) Good to hear you're happy to be back in the States.

Lookin' good! Sorry to hear about the lacy cardi though, perhaps when you feel better you can pick it up again :)

I am always impressed when people knit top down designs. Your cardi is already looking nice! Isn't it nice that you can wear winter clothes now?
BTW, I love the orchids on your page.
