Look What I Got .....
Look What I got in the mail this morning. Yippee! A parcel from my secret pal, Ann. Check out all the goodies she sent me. I was going to wait till this evening to post it, but this is too good to wait. I'm so thrilled. First of all, I must say Ann is the best Secret Pal. I feel so lucky to have her. She sent me the sweetest stuff.
Okay, in the package there's a nice little note from Ann. She sent 2 balls of ksh in Lord, 4 balls of yorkshire tweed 4ply in radiant, a ball of pink magenta yarn hand spun by herself, a hank of 100% silk hand dyed yarn by Kerrie Allman of hipknits. You really have to see this yarn in person. It is so gorgeous. I love the colorways. I'm goin to put it in my keepsake bin and may never knit with it. I'll probably take it out occasionally just to pet it. Crazy woman.
And oh! There's more.....Ann knitted a white clapotis for me. She suggested that I could dye it to colors that I like. Coincidentally, I just purchased some kool aid and might experiment with some scrap yarn that I have in my stash. But as for now, I'm just going to leave it as it. I'm too chicken that I might ruin this beautiful, white as paper clapotis. In this package, there's also some cute handmade stitch markers, three layer frangrance candles which smell extremely good, a cd from Snow Patrol, a lovely illustrated short story book by Edward Monkton -- The Shoes of Salvation and lastly a gorgeous pressed flower pendant.
Dear Ann, I send you my big hugs. It was such great pleasure to rummage through this delightful box of goodies. I hope to get to know you more in near future. Thank you so much for putting these wonders together for me. You totally made my day!
p/s: Thank you so much for everyone nice and supportive comments on Mocca. There are great encouragement and make me feel much confident to come with better design. I have some new ideas in mind but haven't had the chance to put it on paper. Will probably do that when I'm done with lace cardi. Too much to handle for time being.

I am happy for you! You got a wonderful package of yarns. I would do the same, save the silk yarn and admire once in a while. :D
It's been an absolute joy getting to know you through your blog - it's just a shame it took so long to get stuff to you, but I'm so glad you have the package now.
As for just stroking the silk - absolutely not! It's an absolute joy to knit with too (although i have to say that a couple of times I've knit something and frogged it just so I could have the joy of knitting with it again...).
So find a pattern and go for it - we can always make arrangements to have more sent over to you (in whatever colourway you wish) if you want some more :)
