So How Was Your Christmas?

How was your christmas? As for me, christmas eve itself was quiet and pretty low key. Since I didn't get to finish the "hubby sock", I prepared a little extras for dinner as a trade off. I made chicken lasagna, pasta with grilled salmon, caesar salads and brownies for dessert. On christmas day, I got up early to attend mass, spent the rest of the day in my pjs, watch tv, knit till sun down then finished off with dinner at a friend's house. All in all, christmas was pretty uneventful.

Anyways, I guess this is the point where we all start making our new year's resolutions huh? During the holiday, I did spent some quiet time to reflect upon my past knitting projects, think about what I want to knit next, yarns that I want to get and yada yada yada..... .

Well, here's another one of my unplanned project -- impulse knitting. I actually finished this piece on Monday but because of the rain, I didn't get to take any picture and blog about it. Anyways, it is inspired by the osw, I modified the shrug a little by adding more ribbing too the collar band and lengthened the sleeves

Pattern : My own--inspired by Steph
Yarn : 2 balls of Wool Ease in Sea Spray
Needles : Circular size 4.5mm

I really like how this shrug turned out. I think it fits me so much better than my previous osw. Eventhough, the yarn is not one of those high end quality yarn, I think it is well worth my time. I got 2 balls of wool ease for less than 4bucks, can't beat that huh? I might consider making another one in some other color.

Like everyone said, it's a great creation! And the fact that it only used 2 skeins is even bettter...
With the Bay Area's weather you could really knit more in different shades to match your wardrobe and wear it year around.
Happy New Year, Vanessa!
