You Better Knit Faster

A heartfelt thank you to all who left me comments and kind words on my ruffle scarf. I love it too. It's one of those quickies that I 'm really proud of.

It has been raining a lot for the past couple of days . Thunderstorms in SF last Saturday, was that crazy weather or what. But that didn't stop us from going out. We went out and saw the Memoirs of a Geisha on sunday. Overall I think it's worth to watch eventhough much of the original novel was removed from the story. Needless to say, I still enjoyed the book more than the movie. It's so beautifully written. I'm amazed a white man could write so well from the perspective of a Japanese woman.

Well, on the knitting front, I got two new projects to report. I started my first sock last week, knitted about 5" only realized I had accidently dropped a stitch. Don't ask me why how that happened? I'm just retarded with dpns. I feel so clumsy with those tiny little needles. Since there's no way I'll be able to pick up that stitch, I had to frog it. Anyways, I'm back on the calf decrease now. Initially I was planning to make these for hubby's x'mas present since I didn't get him anything. Well, five more days to go, I'll try to knit as fast as I can. Does knitting elf really exist?

After having so much fun with that ruffle scarf. I decided to make another one with kid merino in blush pink. I just got done with 600 chain stitches, long way to go but I'm loving it already.

p/s: Oh for those that are curious... I didn't make that beautiful blue lace cardi. I bought it at Mango early this year and its actually cost me a bomb. It's gorgeous, isn it? I'm still searching for a similar knitting pattern. okay okay...gotto go knit that sock now!

Oh, the pink ruffle scarf is going to be so pretty, I can't wait to see it finished. Your picture makes my fingers itch, I just want to pet your yarn and see how soft it is.

Love the colours on your socks. And that mohair ruffley is going to look even better than in cashcotton. Pity it is too warm for me to make anything with mohair here!

Hi Vanessa,
Your crochet scarf looks so pretty. Nice to see you making another. Lucky you got to see Memoirs of a Geisha...HK's not showing yet. I've read the book too and I can't wait to see the movie.

Oooooh... thanks to your picture of the pink one in progress, I think I can figure out how this is constructed and have already started my attempt.

Good to see you joined the Curly Whirlies too!

The colors on your socks are very nice and the pattern it's forming also looks good. I have trouble working with dpns too. Not only i drop sts but the sts in between the needles are always loose.
