For Spring...

Sorry for being so utterly absent this past week. I've been super busy with work and everything else. Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm fully recovered from that nasty cold. A little updates on knitting and sewing shall we.

exterior side

reversible side

The ever popular Swing Bag designed by Amy Butler is finally done! I’m seriously in love with it. The pattern surprisingly is really not that hard for beginner. I spend an hour to have all the pieces cut out, about 3 hours to sew and put all the pieces together. Since this is a reversible bag, I've decided not to add pockets to the interior of the bag. I'm thinking, may be later on I can make a little pouch to hold lipstick and keys in order to keep things organized.

I have made some progress in my effort to finish the back of the Bergere de France sweater. I cast on the front panel couple days ago but no significant progress so far.

It's bad to have a lys so close to your office, especially it's only five minutes away, by foot. Yes, is that close, I'm not kidding. I stopped by last week and went crazy with all those rowan ryc mags.

I also bought some teal zephyr for the peacock feather shawl that I've been salivating for the longest time.

Very pretty, seeing your bag gives me some sewing confidence, I just ordered an Amy Butler pattern. Now I'm curious which lys is close to your office? Let me know, maybe we can have a little lunch meet sometime?

Awesome bag! The Bergere de France sweater is cute too. Where is that pattern from? I'm also planning on making the Peacock Feathers shawl, but with a deeper shade of Zephyr I've got in my stash.

I love your bag! You've become quite the seamstress! Both sides are great, but I like the first side the best. Bold and beautiful.

Your sweater is coming along nicely. The cables are so pretty.

I can't wait to see your peacock shawl! The picture of your yarn is so yummy.

It must be very hard to avoid the LYS being so close to you. ;)

Your bag is beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing your peacock shawl in that turquoise yarn, it looks like the perfect choice.

I would be in so much trouble if there was a yarn store that close to my office :o)
