Alas, she's destined for frog pond.....

Thanks people for all your kind words and suggestion on how to salvage Cressida. After giving some thoughts, I've decided to frog and recycle those yarn for something else. I don't have a pattern in mind yet, but I'm sure I'll find something suitable when the time comes. Anyways, do I really look that bad in that sweater. C'mon tell me the truth, will you? Here's what my dear friend Mariam have to say....
"Van... I must say the last piece that you knitted makes you look like a granny. hehehe... but the halter neck top is gorgeous!!" -- Thanks for being honest, girl! I love constructive criticism. It's just funny to hear someone finally tell you the truth that you look hideous in a sweater that you think you look good on. (Especially the one that you had worked on for nearly 40 hours.) What can I say, sometimes pretty picture can be so deceiving. Things that look good on others might not look good on you.
Anyways, it's enough about Cressida. Until I find time to deal with her, may Cressida RIP. Let's move on to something more exciting, shall we. My KH exchanged kit is finally here. I love the new color, it's lot more wearable compare to Cheeky. While waiting for the kit, I started this-- corset pullover from Spring IK 03.

Thanks a lot for all you nice comments on my halter. This is one of my favourite project, so far. If you're still looking for an simple project or would like to conquer that zipper fear, you should give this a go. It's really easy to sew. I'm a newbie to sewing and I could follow along easily. The paisley fabric I used is some cheap cotton fabric from Joann that cost me less than $10 for 1 yard. I will definitely sew this again. It really is cute, stylish & comfortable! Here's a picture of the back of the halter.

oh boy. I missed the last post, and I must say, bummer! Too bad. I don't blame you for ripping it out and using the yarn for something else.
Your halter looks smashing! You're turning into quite the seamstress. Great job!
I like that IK top you've started. It will be very pretty on your dainty frame.
So sorry to hear that you decided to rip Cressida! But it's certainly better to reuse the lovely yarn instead of letting it go to waste as a cardi you won't wear. And I must agree with your friend Mariam-- Cressida did make you look a bit... shall we say, matronly? ;)
Your halter is quite chic, and it's hard to imagine that it's as easy to make as you say. I'd love to make something like that, but am worried that my sewing skills are not yet at that level.
I won't say it looked bad... but you have made more attractive and flattering patterns. I think the yarn can be better in some other garment. The Corset Pullover is beautiful, and will definitely be a good FO ;)
You sure move fast girl, that KP yarn looks real nice ;)
Anyway, I think it's great that you're brave enough to frog the whole thing, I might just move on and put it in the deepest corner of my wardrobe.
I am SO GLAD you stopped by my blog, I can't believe I haven't found yours before now! You create amazing things and you must be like the fastest knitter around :) I love that AB halter on you too.
Looking at the pattern picture, the sleeves are too baggy on the model as well! I'm sure you can find another pattern to reuse the yarn, it's so pretty.
You are fast with decisions, I would have to wait for some time before I can take my knitting apart.
I like your new wip,it will be a pretty one!
I wanted to tell you that I made a hat from the soft lux yarn, and it didn't fit. I tried taking it apart but the yarn shredded when I tried to frog it. I hope you haven't had that problem. I think your sweater looks gorgeous. Good Luck!
