Jacket Talk

Hey guys, thank so much for the input on the sweaters project. Looks like there are more fans for the VK sweater than Sorrel from Rowan 40. But you know, I'm really curious to see how Tapestry knits up, so I might just dive in and cast on both projects simultaneously. Anyways, we'll see, I haven't even have time to swatch yet.
Is anyone still interested to knit that swing jacket I posted couple weeks ago? My phildar pattern book is finally here and I would like to set up a little KAL. So if you're interested, please email me your name and blog address (if you have one). I'm going to post the required materials for the project just incase if you haven't got your pattern. I bought my pattern from here. It took them almost three weeks to ship, so for those that are anxious to have it on hands, I heard ordering directly from the Phildar might be a better option.
Guess who I met over the weekend....the infamous Steph and Angela. My first meet up since I moved back to the bay area. I had a fabulous time with the girls. Sorry no picture to show you guys, I was too busy chatting away, drooling at the girls pretty handknitted socks and their gorgeous weekender bags. Thanks Angela for showing me how to do the turkish cast on.
And this coming weekend, we'll be meeting another special guest, well I should say " an awesome awesome knitter & photographer" from New York. I can't wait!

I can't wait either! Make sure you bring the Phildar mag with you too! That jacket is tooo cute, I might want to join you.
Is that jacket knit?! Wow, it looks so smooth. I really like it, but I think it's the completely wrong shape for my body.
I would like to join the jacket kal, but I only able to start next year, since the online store that I used to order don't have this issue, I'm gonna order the magazine from Phildar and have it send to my in law place in England on late December which I'll be there to pick up.
Would love to join your KAL but have too many other things on the needles that I'm trying to get finished. I ordered the magazines directly from Phildar and they took under a week to get to me in Ireland. So many nice things in them!

It's very tempting, I like it very much. I'll think about it, but can you tell I'm slipping down the slippery slope?
When I saw that jacket, I thought it was one of the neater designs that Phildar had put out. I'd love to see your knit it. I don't have the courage to knit anything for myself right now at least not until after the baby arrives!
People are buying PHildar in english and I'm battling away at doing it in French. am I nuts of what? At least if I have any questions, I could ask someone who has the pattern book in English. Three weeks is long to wait for something, at least with the French pattern book I can pop in and get it anytime I want. :)
I'll join. :) I have the magazine already but I don't have the materials. Is Knitntyme selling kits of the jacket? I ordered my mag from the Phildar site and will probably order the yarn from there also, if I can purchase the other supplies needed.
i joined and really hope i can knit it (actually finish it) i just ordered the book from phildar.
i'm sure this knit-along will motivate me.
You know what? Count me in! I've been looking for a new project and nothing has really wowed me until now. I'll place my order tonight :)
I'd love to join! which issue is it? sorry that I'm not too bright, but how do I order it directly from phildar?
Uhm...just so you know I'm totally blaming you for making me got some Tapestry of ebay. ;p
I love the jacket anyway, but I've got something in my wardrobe that strongly resembles it, so maybe I'll see at your FO first, lol.
Gorgeous! This is definitely going on my 'to be knit' list!
