Backyard

cherry blossom
My little getaway was great despite that nasty blister and flu bug I caught on my way home. I was sick for couple of days but nothing biggy. I didn't exactly knit a whole lot during the break though. I worked on the swing jacket a bit and started a new project. Most of my time was spent in front of the computer, checking out pretty photos on flickr. I swear that site is addictive. Anyways, this has nothing to do with the trip. It's just some pictures I shot during lunch. I took about fifty of them but only three turned out good. My hands are shaking really bad today. I wonder if this has anything to do with my excessive coffee drinking?

gima cotton
I didn't bring any yarn back from vegas. These were acquired last weekend at a yarn store just right next to the restaurant we had dinner. When I walked in there, I had no intention to buy yarn other than the rowan mag. But somehow I managed to convinced myself because these are just too precious and pretty to look at.

It was just a swatch last week, but soon it'll become a pretty sweater, I hope. I've been working on this baby pretty religiously for the past few days and have not touch any of my wips. And check this out, one of our swing jacket-KAL-ers already finished her jacket. I'm going to have tons of cathing up to do. Alrighty, I'll be heading to Stitches tomorrow, can hardly wait! I have some cash in my purse and I'm seriously contemplating not to bring my plastic and cheque book. Let see how much will power I have. Have a great weekend everyone!

Ooooh Juno. I've been curious about this sweater for a while. I'll have to live vicariously through you.

Yum, those habu colors are gorgeous. I have a weakness for their papery yarns, but I have not yet knit anything with them.
