In the mood for something blue

drops jacket
Drops Jacket | Free pattern from Garnstudio | Bluesky Alpaca Worsted in Navy Blue

turquoise tunic
Turquoise Tunic | Pattern from Rebecca mag 31 | Habu Tsumugi in Turquiose Blue

Thank you very much on your comments and suggestions on my previous post. To be honest with you, that top does looked a lot prettier in the picture than in real person. I knew that drapey neckline was not for me the minute I put it on. I wasn't mad that it's gone to the frog pond. Just a little bummped out cause the yarn already started to pill and fuzz up a little. Hope it'll still look okay when I decide to knit it up. So, what's next? I'm still stash busting. I started two new projects early last week, both in blue hues. Other than the white, grey, black and brown I wear on daily basis. I'm starting to add more colors to my wardrobe. I do like certain shades of blue, like indigo blue, some sort of turquiosey blue or even ocean blue. But never wear much of them. Though, blues in general remind me of a favorite pair of well-worn denim jeans. I've not knitted anything in blue for years, will see how things work out this time.

Ooh, I love the wood buttons! That shade of blue is so lovely, it almost looks like the Rowan denim yarn. And the Habu silk... *sigh*

Your photos are super fantastic. I love the deep blue alpaca, the weathered pale blue wood, and the warm wooden buttons.

Those buttons are really going to look great with that yarn.

Blue is my favorite color but I never seem to wear it either - except for jeans. Yours are lovely shades.

I have that Drops jacket coming up too... are you getting gauge with that worsted weight yarn? It looks very pretty. Both of your knits are so textural ;) Blue is so beautiful - one of my all-time favorites.

Gorgeous photos -- both such lovely blues, but both so different.

I'm just now blocking that Drops sweater. (At first it felt a little like cheating, since I've been sitting on a similarly-shaped Phildar Swing Jacket for 6 months with only the back done. But now it just feels like a FO, which is always good.) Love the buttons you chose!
