A little bit of sewing and a little bit of knitting

shifting sand scarf
Finally, a of long overdue post about knitting and my one an only finished project since September. Eventhough it's not for me, I felt pretty darn good that I finally finished something. Cast on the day before thanksgiving. Knitted thoughout the holiday, bind off on thursday night, washed and blocked just in the nick of time for a friend's birthday over the weekend. Here's another shot of me modelling the scarf before I gave it away. Thanks for the lovely pattern Kathy. The scarf turned out so soft and cozy. I love it. I'm considering making another one for myself.

Pattern : Shifting Sands Scarf by Kathy, aka Grumperina
Yarn : 3 hanks of Harmony 100% NZ Purewool by Naturally Yarn
Needle : US 6
Cost for this project: $25

just a tote
I've been sewing too. I made this linen tote bag for a very special friend, prior to my long histus back in october. It was just a simple pattern I whipped up over one weekend. There's a lot I like about this bag. The simplicity, the applique, the fabric, the hand sewn leather straps. And of course it was really satisfying to know my dear friend love it too.

ombre scarf
Lastly, something for myself. A patchwork scarf I'm working on currently. There are a mix of habu mohair yarn, silk yarn, linen paper and boucle yarn...something totally random while waiting for that knitting mojo to return. Alrighty, I gotto get out and run some errands. I hope you all well and enjoy the rest of your sunday. I'm still working on replying emails if you haven't gotten a response. Oh and again! Thank you very much if you bought something from my recent destash. All your packages are in the mail and I hope you'll receive it soon.
